Since the launch of the first satellite in 1957, the human race has explored ever farther and wider into the cosmos. These endeavors increasingly require extensive robotic and automation capabilities. At the same time, the orbits around us are becoming increasingly crowded with each arrival of new satellites, spacecrafts, and an ever growing number of space debris. It is now in urgent need of a space strategy going forward that brings sustainability to space.
This calls for cutting edge technology to realize satellite refueling, life extension, and the eventual de-orbit, to keep our orbits clean.
Our mission is to bring the most advanced German and European space robotics technology, backed by the research branch of the German Aerospace Center, DLR, to make this a reality.
